Université Lumière Lyon 2 and GATE are inviting applications for a 5-year Junior Professor Chair in Experimental and Behavioral Economics

GATE and Université Lumière Lyon 2 are recruiting for a Junior Professor (tenure-track position) in behavioral and experimental economics with a particular focus on Behavior and Adaptation

The position is for 5 years. The successful candidate will benefit from a budget of 200,000 euros over five years to develop their own research program. They will also benefit from a reduced teaching load (42 hours of lectures per year for 5 years). Once the candidate has passed the tenure examination, they will be offered a permanent position as a full professor at Université Lumière Lyon 2.

We are looking for candidates with recognized expertise in experimental methods (laboratory or field experiments) and international experience.

Proficiency in French is not required.

Position start date: between 01/09/2024 and 15/12/2024.

The candidate will be paid on a level equivalent to a Professeur des Universités 2ème classe in the french pay scale (Gross salary about 3,700 euros per month).

Selection process
The selection process will take place as follows.
1- Initial selection of candidates by the recruitment committee
2- For the candidates preselected by the committee:
–   a one-hour seminar either at GATE in Lyon or online
–   A 30-minute interview
3- The committee ranks all candidates, with results announced early July.
