Thibaud Porphyre (epidemiologist, Biometry and Evolutionary Biology Laboratory,, Université Lyon 1) and Benoît Tarroux (economist, GATE and Université Lyon 2) are looking for a PhD candidate with a strong interest in behavioral economics, experimental methods and interdisciplinary projects.

Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD position at the Biometry and Evolutionary Biology Laboratory. The successful applicant will be offered a 3-year fully funded PhD position and work under the supervision of Thibaud Porphyre (epidemiologist, VPH Team lead, UMR 5558 LBBE) and Benoît Tarroux (economist, UMR 5824 GATE) on an interdisciplinary project investigating how human behavior affects (animal) disease spread. The general topic of the PhD will be the study of farmers’ decision-making during disease outbreaks and its impact on the spread of infectious disease.
