Presentation Established in 1997, GATE has merged with the CREUSET research unit from Jean Monnet University in January 2010 to create “GATE Lyon Saint-Étienne”, a joint research unit (UMR 5824) affiliated to the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), the Université Lumière Lyon 2, the Jean Monnet University and emlyon.
