Presentation
This research topic focuses on three key themes related to monetary economics:
Macroeconomics of cycles and economic policy:
The macroeconomics of cycles study the transmission of business cycles in open and financialized economies and how monetary policy and central bank communication policy can affect economic outcomes. The analyses are based on theoretical (DSGE in particular), empirical and experimental tools
Finance and banking:
Banking issues are addressed using tools from the financial industry and from network design with an original approach using experimentation.
History of economic analysis:
Research in the history of macroeconomics focuses on the foundations of monetary policy and the history of banking practices.
