The GATE laboratory in St-Etienne is located on one of the three sites of Jean Monnet University, 77 Michelet.
The GATE is served by the T1 and T3 trams, “Campus Tréfilerie” stop.
From Saint-Etienne Châteaucreux train station: take the T3 tram towards Bellevue and get off at the Tréfilerie stop. Take Rue Jacques Barbier, turn left onto Rue Voltaire, then right onto Rue Michelet. The GATE is at number 77.
From the city center: Take the T1 tram towards Solaure to the "Campus Tréfilerie" stop. Take Rue Jacques Barbier, turn left onto Rue Voltaire, then right onto Rue Michelet. The GATE is at number 77.

From Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport, take a bus from the airport bus station. It will take you to Saint-Étienne in 40 minutes.
ATTENTION! Remember to book in advance, as few trips are available!
By the A7 and A47 motorways (Paris, Lyon, Marseille): take the direction Givors/Saint-Étienne (A47), continue on the N88 towards Firminy/Le Puy-en-Velay, then, after the tunnel, take exit 24 (towards Annonay), follow the direction Bellevue, go down rue Robespierre, then follow the Université Campus Tréfilerie sign.
Via the A89 and A72 motorways (Clermont-Ferrand): To be completed
- From Paris, you must take a TGV from Gare de Lyon towards Saint-Étienne, which takes 3 hours.
- From Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport, follow the signs at the airport to take the Rhônexpress shuttle to Lyon-Part-Dieu train station (departures every 20 minutes from 5 a.m. to midnight). Once at Lyon-Part-Dieu train station, take the train to Saint-Étienne, Châteaucreux train station.
then continue your journey using Saint-Etienne public transport.
