This workshop is organized in the framework of the FELIS research grant of the French National Agency for Research and the CORTEX Laboratory of Excellence of Université de Lyon, within the program Investissements d’Avenir.
Individuals’ and groups’ behavior is not only influenced by monetary incentives but also by norms, i.e. rules according to which people think one ought to behave in given circumstances. It is usually considered that moral norms are internal guidelines whereas social norms are driven by the observability of behavior by others. The combination of moral norms and social norms allows researchers to better characterize preferences. Presentations during the workshop will deal with the analysis of incentives and unethical behavior, social credibility, social norms and the replacement logic, among other topics.
