Lyon, December 12-13, 2019.
Public policies are often closely related to urban and regional issues. Place-based policies such as enterprise zones or industrial cluster policies, but also local public policies, are by nature spatially differentiated. Moreover, many national public policies related to the housing market (e.g. tax incentives for rental investment), land use (e.g. zoning policies) and environment (e.g. protected areas) use delineation rules to target specific types of locations or agents.
This workshop will gather original research papers shedding some light on the issues raised by these public policies for urban and regional economies, both in developed and developing countries. The workshop welcomes submissions of theoretical and empirical contributions. The accepted papers will be presented over two days and will complement two keynote speakers’ presentations.
